ABOUT STACEY

Stacey is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist (RD or RDN for short) with over nine years of counseling experience. Stacey completed her Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Nutrition at New York University. She completed her Dietetic Internship at the James J. Peters VA Hospital in Bronx, NY; this highly-competitive program accepts 7 interns annually for a rigorous 51-week clinical training, serving the Veteran population. Stacey is also licensed in New York State as a Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist (CDN) and in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee, Washington, and Maryland as a Licensed Dietitian.

After about 5 years of clinical practice with adults 65+, Stacey went on to obtain her Board Certification in Gerontological Nutrition (CSG), which makes her a clinical expert in nutrition for older adults. She is passionate about optimizing nutritional status in the older adult population, with an emphasis on managing chronic diseases like Type 2 Diabetes, High Blood Pressure (hypertension), High Cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), Chronic Kidney Disease, and more. She also focuses on preventing/managing unintentional weight loss, maintaining nutritional status in clients with memory and swallowing disorders, and general wellness (i.e. "What should I be eating to best fuel my body?"). She loves empowering her clients, helping them to age gracefully with the strength to continue to do what they love and feel confident in their bodies! Stacey doesn't focus on weight, and practices from a Health at Every Size (HAES®) lens; rather, she focuses on making sustainable changes to your diet and lifestyle that will make you feel good in your body! Stacey is also a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor; she loves to help clients make peace with food and their bodies, and believes that all foods have a place in a nourishing diet! She is also a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NB-HWC), and takes a partnership approach to working with her clients.

Stacey has worked with clients in many clinical sectors, including home-based primary care, long-term care, diabetes management, cardiac (heart) health, renal (kidney) disease (from early diagnosis to dialysis and transplant), general health & wellness, nutrition in aging, healing relationship with food, and more.

Stacey has also been published in the nutrition journal Topics in Clinical Nutrition with a literature review of the Low-FODMAP Diet and a weight loss book review. She has participated in literature review data collection on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD, or heartburn). She is also a member of the CSG exam-writing committee, keeping up to date on the latest older adult nutrition recommendations.

Stacey loves working 1:1 with clients who are looking to make changes in their health and wellbeing! Whether it's a goal of learning how to listen to hunger and fullness cues, improving blood sugar control, slowing the progression of kidney disease, or simply aging with strength and grace, Stacey will work with you to customize goals and interventions to suit your needs.

With Stacey, you'll never be prescribed a regimented diet plan or a "one size fits all" plan; Stacey truly believes that health is individualized, and she will work with you to help you achieve your goals. Stacey believes that working with a nutritionist should be a judgement-free, supportive, and safe process. She also believes that nutrition should be fun, and should never require you to restrict your favorite foods!

Stacey also believes that all foods have a place in a healthy, balanced diet, and achieving your nutrition and wellness goals doesn’t have to be difficult. Unless you're allergic or intolerant to a food, we can find a way to incorporate it into your healthy lifestyle! You’ll never see food labels like “good foods” or “bad foods” here; all foods can serve a purpose in a healthy lifestyle! And, yes, you can be healthy in any size body!

In her free time, Stacey loves to cook and bake, visit Walt Disney World, travel to new and exciting places, ride her Peloton bike (while singing and dancing!), and read psychological thrillers. She also loves to cuddle up with a cup of tea and her little Yorkie, Winston! Her favorite foods are pizza, perfectly ripe nectarines, crispy roasted brussels sprouts, and carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
